Put any kind of files on your drive such as catalogs, presentations, music, videos, software and more. If you can save it to your computer we can put it on each USB drive. Users may delete, copy, or rename any of the files stored on the USB drive.	Put any kind of files on your drive that can never be changed or deleted. The locked files will appear as a second drive and look just like a CD on a computer. (Some networks may not show both drives.) Users can only view the locked files but not change them.

USB Voyager - AES 256-bit Encryption Software Overview

USB Voyager is especially designed to create protected USB Memory Drives. It creates protected areas on the media and a password is needed to see the protected content. The protected USB drive is fully autonomous and does not need any special software installed on the computer.

Strong encryption of protected contents. Advanced Encryption Standard 256 bit is used to protect your records. AES is new Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) and used to protect sensitive information by U.S. Government organizations (and others).

USB Voyager Secure Access Password Request

No need to have USB Voyager software on computer to read protected media. Every protected USB drive contains AutoPlay module. You just need to connect your USB Drive to a USB port and it will ask for a password to continue. The only requirement is to have Windows Vista/XP/2000 (32 or 64 bit) and USB port. The protected media does NOT install any software to the target computer. It is fully autonomous.

You do not need to wait until large amount of data will be decrypted to the computer from protected media. USB Voyager utilizes special on-the-fly decryption technology software. You just enter password and protected areas become visible as virtual hard drives like E:, G:, Z: etc. On the fly decryption technology allows to store movies/executable files/audio files inside the protected area.

You can create multiple secure partitions with different passwords on one media. For example one secure partition will be "My Documents", the second one is "My Pictures" and etc...

For non-admin network users

When protected media was launched on a computer under a limited user account (i.e. the account without administrator's privileges, limited user, guest, etc) and when local security policy was configured to not allow to mount any devices/storages as virtual drive letters without administrator's permission, there was a big problem. USB Voyager uses on-the-fly decryption technology and needs permission to add new drive letters to the system, so you were not able to open your secure partition on protected USB without administrator's permission (USB Voyager showed special window asking administrator's password to continue).

Now, since version 2.00, we added new tool to bypass this limitation. Partition Explorer.

Partition Explorer is special program that is added to your protected media automatically when you create/modify secure partitions on the media.

SITUATION: Partition Explorer is launched in a situation, when you work on a computer under limited user account and you cannot ask computer's administrator to give the permission to the program when it asks it for the first time.

Just open secure partition and drag-n-drop files between files panes to copy them.

USB Voyager is especially designed to create secure USB Memory Drives. It creates secure areas on the media and a password is needed to see the protected content. The secure USB drive is fully autonomous and does not need any special software installed on the computer.

STEP 1: Install the USB Voyager Software

STEP 2: Once installed, launch USB Voyager

At the top you will see all of your USB devices you may create secure partitions on.

STEP 3: Click on the drive you wish to create a secure partition on

STEP 4: Click on the Partition Manager

Now you will see the "Manager of Secure Media Partitions" appear

STEP 5: Creating a Secure Partition

Partition Name / Disc Label: This is essentially your USB Drive Name. I normally keep both fields the same. The Disc Label has to be all in CAPS!
- Give your first partition a Partition Name: I usually name this partition "PUBLIC" since it will not require a password to use
- Give your first partition a Disc Label: For simplicity reasons I keep the Partition Name and Disc Label the same
- Click on "Change" button: You will see the USB name and partition name change

- Click on New Partition: A new partition will be created allowing you to edit it's properties just like we did with the first partition.

- Give your secure partition a Partition Name: I usually name this partition "SECURE" since it will require a password to access the contents of the partition
- Give your secure partition a Disc Label: For simplicity reasons I keep the Partition Name and Disc Label the same
- Click on "Change" button: You will see the USB name and partition name change

- Adjust your partition sizes: Use your mouse and place it in between the two partitions. Click and drag to get the desirable size of either partition

- Create a strong password: Click Apply and then the password screen will appear. Make sure you create a strong password using lower and upper case characters, symbols and numbers.

Creating a partition can take a few minutes so please be patient and wait till you get the "New partition has been created" box.

- Finished: Once the "Close" button is active (meaning you can click on it) or if the "Partition Manager Created" appears, exit the program and you are done.

STEP 1: Plug in your USB Drive

STEP 2: Either your computer will bring up a dialog box similar to the one below (click on "Manage Secure Partitions") or you will have to open the USB drive and double-click on mvoyager.exe.

If you are a non-admin network user that requires "rights-elevation" please go to STEP 3 otherwise skip down to STEP 4

STEP 3:

For non-admin network users

Using the instructions below will allow you to open your Secure Partition in Read-Only mode. You will be able to copy the files from the Secure Partition, however all other functionality will be disabled.

• To Open the Partition Explorer in XP or Vista open "Manage Secure Partitions from the dialog box" or double-click the mvoyager.exe file

• When the "Not Enough Rights" box pops-up

• Select "No virtual drives" and click on Proceed.

• Once the Partition Explorer is open you will see your secure partition on the top left.

• Click on your secure partition to access it.

• Enter your password and the secure partition will open up.

STEP 4: Once you have clicked on either "Manage Secure Partitions" from the dialog box or the "mvoyager.exe" file from the folder view you will need to enter a password in order to mount your secure partition.

***If you want to assign a specific drive letter to your secure partition you can do so by simply selecting a drive letter from the drop down.

You may get a confirmation at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen that the secure virtual partition has been launched (see below).

***If for some reason you do not see this pop-up you can simply open My Computer and see if your virtual drive has been mounted.
